Taxing Gambling Income in Costa Rica
Written by Jimmy Reilly on 01/27/2010 – 4:29 am -
Costa Rica has always been very lax on gambling. In reality it only took a business license and just about anyone could open up a casino. And with the US crack down on betting in 2007 hordes of online gambling and bookie businesses flooded Costa Rica.
About every two to 3 years the government ties to put a new novel plan to generate revenue from these establishments. The last one (about 1 and 1/2 years ago) there were requirements of how many slots, blackjack tables etc a hotel could have based on the amount of rooms they had. Gambling casinos were also required to set their operation back X amount of feet back from the sidewalk and blab blab blab.
Each time their efforts have fails.
This is almost a sure bet that you could see this coming, the government is following in La Vegas footsteps where they are now proposing another bill to regulate gambling and to tax gross income.

Betting Second Half of the NBA Season – Trends
Written by Jimmy Reilly on 01/20/2010 – 4:16 am -
Looking for trends and value when betting and handicapping the second half of the NBA season
An NBA handicapper looking for Sports betting success can always find trends and angels to guide you along the way and before making your NBA Picks in the second half of the NBA season.
When handicapping NBA Picks, as an expert handicapper, I always find value from betting angels or trend throughout the long NBA season because sports betting in the NBA gives you tremendous opportunity to find value in trends because you are dealing with teams that consist of only 12 players per NBA team that have to endure a longest season. With that said, as an expert handicapper I must handicap the second half of an NBA matchup using different stats and factors that were not available to me in the first half of the season.
The first half results have shown us who are the pretenders and contenders as top tier teams will start to break away from the pack to make a run in the playoffs excluding injuries.

Online Betting, Casinos and Bookies in Costa Rica
Written by Jimmy Reilly on 01/18/2010 – 7:00 am -
Canadian billionaire Calvin Ayre is the operator of Bodog, one of the largest online gambling website that used to operate out of Costa Rica.
Costa Rica has long been one of the more loosely regulated jurisdictions for online casinos and sports books. Operators need only a business license from the government to set up Internet gambling servers. And because of this, you can just about count on that every online bet is being funnel through Costa Rica.
Online betting websites like Bodog and BetUS are two of the biggest in the World, both operate out of Costa Rica, San Jose region. Calvin Ayre, owner of Bodog, started the company in late 1999 with 10,000 US dollars and by the end of 2006, it was estimated that Bodog was taking in over 6 billion in yearly betting revenue, with 5 billion just in US dollars!

Sports Betting NBA – Trends, Handicapping & Picks
Written by Jimmy Reilly on 01/13/2010 – 5:26 am -
Betting NBS trends give you more value because you are dealing with twelve players on teams playing almost three to four games a week
Sports betting in the NBA can be fairly predictable for an expert handicapper that pays attention to all the trends and tendencies that a long NBA season has to offer. Unlike other sports, trends give you more value when betting in the NBA because you are dealing with twelve players on teams playing almost three to four games a week in which the human element of habit comes into play. An expert handicapper will take a look at every trend that can possibly give you the betting advantage when making your NBA Picks.
There are only twelve players on each NBA team, which means players tend to play at the same beat.

Profit When Betting NBA – January Handicapping
Written by Jimmy Reilly on 01/08/2010 – 3:31 am -
January is a good month to profit when betting on NBA games
The reason why you can take advantage of winning NBA Picks during the month of January is because there is daily inside information coming in throughout the NBA with many variables that will directly affect the outcome of an NBA matchup.
As an expert NBA handicapper, past years of Sports Betting in the NBA will show you that it is close to the midpoint of the NBA season and teams are getting tired and losing focus. The lack of excitement playing in NBA games that do not have as much attention or significance creates a distraction for players to play at their highest professional level from game to game. This has been witnessed by Gilbert Arenas and his teammates gambling on their spare time using guns to execute a joke. As for Gilbert Arenas, the former All-Star’s conduct has resulted in an indefinite suspension from the NBA without pay which means he loses approximately $197,000 per game as his team plays 3-4 games a week.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys – Playoff Pick
Written by Jimmy Reilly on 01/06/2010 – 7:34 am -
Before making your bet, a expert handicapper will understand that NFL Playoff teams make the Playoffs based on their body of work through the entire NFL season.
Expert Handicapping betting information for making your NFL Pick with Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys (Kickoff will be 8 p.m. ET Saturday night. NFC REMATCH)
Before betting this NFL Wildcard matchup this Saturday between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys, an expert handicapper will understand that NFL Playoff teams make the Playoffs based on their body of work through the entire NFL season.
The recap of the last game must be a part of your expert handicapping due-diligence (such as sport injuries), but understand that that is just one game. We see Dallas has the handicapping edge here as they have won the only two matchups this season but an expert handicapper would have to evaluate some important phases of the game.

Chargers and Eagles – SuperBowl 2010 Rivals?
Written by Jimmy Reilly on 12/31/2009 – 1:37 pm -
Could the Chargers and Eagles be heading to the Super Bowl
This will be an exciting and tough road throughout the 2009 NFL Playoffs, but at the end of the tunnel we predict to see two teams who have had consistently made the NFL playoffs year after year. The Philadephia Eagles and San Diego Chargers came close to playing in the SuperBowl last year as both teams lost on the last series of the 2008 NFL Playoff Championship Game in their respective conferences eventually losing to the 2009 SuperBowl representatives. Last year the Philadelphia Eagles lost on the road to the Arizona Cardinals and the San Diego Chargers lost on the road to the Pittsburgh Steelers and were eliminated from the 2008-09 NFL Playoffs but this year will different.

Sports Handicapping – Money Management Your Betting System
Written by Jimmy Reilly on 12/30/2009 – 6:57 am -
Money management is the key to winning at sports betting
Before betting your Sports Picks, you must establish a money management or betting system to manage your cash flow as if you are running a business.
To insure success in your business, you must create a budget for your betting system and never bet more than you can afford. As a professional handicapper, I advise my sports bettors to set a budget for the month or for the current sports season.
You should establish your budget the same for all sports, whether it is for your NFL Picks, NCAAF Picks, NBA Picks, NCAAB Picks or MLB Picks. Once you have established your budget, you want to make the same average bet per wager and in professional handicapping; we call this the unit system.

Betting College Bowl Games – Trends and Angles
Written by Jimmy Reilly on 12/22/2009 – 7:10 pm -
Making winning College Football Bowl picks, it is best to find betting trends that have been consistently successful over the years
As a professional sports handicapper, when betting and making winning College Football Bowl picks, it is my job to find betting trends that have been consistently successful over the years in providing winning college football picks and other additional betting tips in order to give my clients the best and most profitable College Football Bowl picks this and every year.
When preparing to make these betting picks each year for the College Bowl season, I know I must handicap this part of the season quite differently than the regular NCAAF season. Of course, I will always want to look for NCAAF trends that provide a guide when betting the College Bowl games.
One favorite betting angle that has worked every year when handicapping
for college bowl games for many of the teams, especially those with most of their offense wrapped around a strong quarterback and passing the ball is finding the best quarterback in each College Bowl match-up.

Betting Tips For Preseason NFL – Picks
Written by Jimmy Reilly on 12/15/2009 – 4:27 pm -
Betting the Underdog scenario during preseason is good
As a professional NFL handicapper, it is my job to evaluate the NFL betting line each week and provide winning picks information to give our clients winning NFL Picks every week.
When preparing to make your NFL Picks for the NFL Preseason, you must handicap this season entirely differently than the regular NFL season. Of course, you always want to look for NFL trends just to provide a guide when betting the NFL.
One favorite betting angle is the good old “Home Underdog” scenario. Typically seen when a struggling team plays at home against a winning club, the home underdog angle requires the understanding of how much of an advantage the home team will have whether it be emotionally or just how that teams performs on their home field overall. When betting the NFL, home underdogs have been a great bet among NFL Picks during the NFL Preseason because teams seem to play better to their home crowd. Also, at times their star players will not only play better but play for a longer time than the visiting starters.
